The problem the listing solves
Every file you sign with Reconize carries Content Credentials that prove it's yours. But the places your work actually lives — YouTube, Instagram, Threads — strip that credential from uploads. The proof exists; the viewer standing on your channel can't see it.
The registry closes that gap from the other side. Instead of asking the file to carry the proof through a pipeline that removes it, the proof stands behind the account: a public, signed record that this channel belongs to a creator who verified it.
What the listing is
A small public record: your display name, which accounts you proved you control, and when you proved them. Handles are included only if you choose. It never holds your files, and nothing about any file is ever in it.
The record is published signed, and it's checked where the viewer is — in their browser, by the free Reconize Verify extension or verify.reconize.me. Nothing is uploaded to check it.
What a viewer sees
On a listed channel, the badge says exactly this and nothing more:
Verified Reconize creator. This account was proven by its owner to Reconize on DATE.Assurance: account control (IAL1).
And when someone re-uploads your clip on their own channel, their account isn't in your record — so a viewer who checks sees that it is not you.
What it is not
The listing says who stands behind an account. It never says a file is true, unedited, or owned by anyone — the Content Credentials in the file itself cover edits and history. And the registry only ever adds: an account with no listing shows nothing, never a warning. Absence is never a verdict.

How to get listed
In the app: confirm your identity in Profiles, connect the channels you want covered, then turn on “List me in the Reconize registry.” Channels you connect later are added automatically. Turn it off any time — the record and every account in it are deleted.
